#5: You don’t have to control your thoughts (IG)

Try reframing your thoughts. Take an emotion or stressor and think of it in a different way. If you’re stuck in traffic, rather than letting your thoughts take you down the “why me” path, you could say to yourself, “This traffic is bad, but I’ll still get to where I’m going. There’s nothing I can do about it, so I’ll just listen to music or an audiobook to pass the time.
