#31: Problems don’t define who you are (FB)

Surviving a break-up isn’t easy. To rediscover yourself:

  • Give yourself time to grieve.
  • Let yourself feel pain as you work through what you lost.
  • Remember the negative aspects of the relationships, not just what went right—it helps you re-evaluate your needs within a relationship.

Should you “still be friends?”

  • Give it some time.
  • Understand that the more contact you have now, the longer it’ll take to heal over the loss of the relationship.
  • Protect yourself from more hurt by blocking your ex on all social media.
  • Over time, it can be possible to stay friends, after the emotions have lessened.
