2nd Annual “Grit Your Grief 5K Run/Walk” FUNDRAISER

May 7th-21st: Virtual Race Weeks  🏃‍♀️🏃🏽  May 14th: LIVE RACE EVENT (Ojibway Island, 8am-11am)

RACE DETAILS: During the VIRTUAL Race Weeks (May 7-21), participants choose their own routes. For the LIVE Race Event on May 14th: TIMED 5k starts at 8am & UNTIMED 5k starts at 9am. *Also, on the day of the Live Race (May 14th), there will be a “Kids’ Color Fun Run” held at Ojibway Island in Saginaw at 10am. Registration is $6.00 for children 12 and under (all participants must be registered), and kids will receive a free T-shirt (if registered by April 13). *KIDS’ RUN NOTE: The cut-off to get a t-shirt for the Kids’ Run is April 24, 2022… If registering after that date, please have the participating child(ren) wear a white t-shirt on race day.

CREATE A TEAM with family, friends, coworkers, etc. in memory/honor of someone. Click on the “Team” option when registering to set up. Increase your impact by raising funds for the CGC as a team. *Prizes for the Most Funds Raised & Biggest Team. (Instructions on fundraising will be sent to you in the confirmation email after registering.)

MEMORIAL SIGNS with photos of your loved one can be purchased through this website. The signs will be displayed along the race route the day of the event and also at the Children’s Grief Center the week before.

REGISTRATION DEADLINES: 
💚  EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION ($35) ✔️ February 14 – April 13:  Receive a Race T-shirt and Race Medal
💚  REGISTRATION ($45) ✔️ April 14 – May 21:  Receive a Race T-shirt ONLY IF AVAILABLE, and Race Medal

RACE PACKET PICK-UPS:
💚  LIVE Race Packets: Available at Ojibway Island on the day of the event (5/14/22) starting at 7:15am
💚  VIRTUAL Race Packets: Available May 5-13 on weekdays from 10am-2pm @ the CGC Office location: 4708 James Savage Rd., Midland, MI 48642  (*Can also be shipped)

This is a Great Lakes Bay Regional event. All proceeds will directly benefit ALL of the children and families that we serve in the Great Lakes Bay Region at each of our grief center’s sites in Saginaw, Bay City and Midland, the onsite school grief groups we facilitate, our SVSU group, and outreach & education. We are grateful for our amazing Great Lakes Bay Region communities and look forward to having you participate in this wonderful event.
